Harvest Time

As difficult as it is to believe, autumn has arrived! The leaves are changing and even falling off the trees. I wonder if somehow Mother Nature is as ready for 2020 to be over as many of us are. It is fun to think about the holiday season being right around the corner! Time to get the autumn decorations out and enjoy the annual Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament issue!

Our October meeting is certain to be a lot of fun! We will be holding our Silent Auction! Many members were so generous with their donations last year, that we have enough goodies to move forward with the Sale earlier than usual. Please take a few minutes to peruse the wonderful catalogue Linda Martin put together and make notes as to what treasures you want to add to your stash! For those who participated in the August auction, you know it was fun and a great learning opportunity. This second auction will build upon those lessons and certainly be a good time too! We hope you all join in!

With the November and December meetings on the horizon, here are a few quick reminders to help everyone. Please email me by October 31st if you are going to participate in the December Virtual Christmas Tea’s ornament exchange. Names will be drawn for the exchange at our November meeting and ornaments must be mailed by December 3rd to insure they arrive before the Tea on December 11th. The ornament exchange is always so much fun and there is always such a wide variety of designers represented! If you are unable to attend the December virtual meeting, but still want to be a part of the exchange, that is not a problem, just shoot me an email and we will work it out.

Finally, if you haven’t already signed up for the Book Club, Challenge Projects, or Stitch & Chat meetings, please consider doing so. Any of these groups will help alleviate the isolation many of us are feeling as well as provide some inspiration and camaraderie. Until next time,

TTFN
