Hello and Happy New Year to you all! I hope this newsletter finds everyone recovered from the holidays and excited for the new year and decade! I am very much looking forward to 2020, with many samplers on my must be stitched list. At the top of my stitching priority list is continuing to work on the UFO and Challenge projects I signed up for. I can happily report that one of my UFO projects is completed but alas, the second one is far from finished. But hey, I have until September, right?!
January also signals the second half of the program year for our Guild. Kim has some wonderful “stops” waiting for us including America in January! Make sure to read the Programs article so you’re sure not to miss out and don’t forget the pre-stitching required for March!
Finally, an expression of gratitude to several ladies! A big thank you to Billie and Jennifer for the outstanding job they did last month coordinating our lovely Christmas Tea! The decorations, tea, and favors were just wonderful! A thank you also goes out to Candy and Mary from The Workbasket for the charming reindeer design they gave to SGR just in time for the holidays! And lastly but not the least, to all the members who brought in toys for our Toys for Tots drive. We filled two giant boxes to the very top with loads of wonderful toys! Due to a necessary drop off site change, Franktown Elementary School was overwhelmed with our donations! Their principal was just elated, especially considering this was their first year as a drop off site!
As a reminder, the church doors will open at 2pm for members with the meeting called to order promptly at 2:30.
Until next time, happy stitching!
